Hiding in a playhouse or under a cloth

hiding under a blanket

At a certain point many children become overwhelmed by all the stimuli surrounding them. At that moment they become 'overloaded' and are unable to bear any more. You can help your child keeping out more stimuli by putting a blanket over them.

Some children enjoy hiding under that blanket or pulling it around them tightly. Another possibility is a playhouse or a sheltered corner where your child can withdraw with his cuddly animal, another favourite toy or under a blanket.
