A lot of scientific research into sensory processing disorder has been carried out in the last ten years. Because there are so many different circumstances where problems in sensory processing can manifest itself, it remains difficult to ascertain the existence of sensory processing disorder. From a number of diagnosed problems it has now been proven that the processing of sensory information differs significantly from the normal population.
The results of the research concerning treatment are not yet
uniform. It often concerns small groups of children or sometimes even
the description of a single child. Sensory processing disorder must be
described more clearly as well as the criteria that must be met when
applying a therapy aiming at sensory processing. In any case it is
established definitely that there is no proof that a therapy based on
sensory processing should not be useful. Below you will find a number
